Camarillo California

Monday: Got the information that I was getting transferred go Camarillo, so it was full of packing. We had a district activity and we just had a picnic at the park. Went and said goodbye to my ward mission leader, Brother Brown, then went to FHE with the YSA ward and played pickleball. Then had a member lesson!

Tuesday: Woke up at 5am and went to the mission office to meet my companion, then got a bike and headed to my new area!! Settled in then got to work right away!

Wednesday: First full day in my new area was full of biking! Had a great lesson with a friend named Tim, who is a very busy man who details cars, but is way nice and fun to meet with! Then went to a member visit and had the opportunity to give a blessing, I just did the anointing but it was still a cool experience!

Thursday: Stopped by a very sweet British lady named Margaret. Elder Fawcett just started teaching her last week, and she reads the Book of Mormon every night and loves it! Then had another great member visit with the Carey's.

Friday: Had a nice member visit with Sister Carey, and the Reynolds. Not sure how closely related we are but they are super nice and it was fun to talk to them! Then biked quite a bit more, talked to a lot of people, but none were interested so that was a little hard, but it's all good! 

Saturday: Not a whole lot happened. Just a fun member visit with the Woolsey family and lot of street contacting. But everyone we talked to wasn't interested. 

Sunday: Primary program was awesome, and it was really nice to meet a lot more of the ward and be able to talk to them.

Transfers

Monday: We went bowling for preparation day, and that was really fun! Then at FHE that night there was a fashion show, and Jorge had a blast and made some more friends so that's awesome!

Tuesday: There was a really fun service that we were able to do today at a place called For the Troops, and that was pretty good! We also had a good lesson with some members, so that was really fun! And I had my last Ward Coordination!

Wednesday: Baptism day!!!! Today was so fun, Jorge got baptized and that was such a cool experience, and me and Elder Cosentino were able to be a part of the confirmation, so that was amazing!! It also rained here at it was amazing!! Sunday we fasted for rain and missionary work, and it rained and we got a baptism which is missionary work going forth!! 

Thursday: Temple trip day!!! The Los Angeles temple is so amazing and it is so big!!! The whole experience was so much fun and that was pretty much all of the day! I got to see Elder Jackson and he is doing so good!!! 

Friday: Really good last district council, we all just shared stuff that we have learned and things we want to go better! Then we had our first visit with Jorge since he was baptized and he is loving it so much!! We went to dinner with Brother Morrow and I had my first Costco pizza and it was pretty good!! 

Saturday: We had a great visit with a someone new we started teaching named Salvador, and he is so amazing! We talked about the Book of Mormon and he said he was going to pray to know if it's true, and he believes it is, so he'll get his answer and be baptized pretty soon!! 

Sunday: It was a really good Sunday! Sunday school was really cool and I love the emphasis of being humble enough to be molded by God!

The Normal Week

Monday: it was a pretty good preparation day. We had party games and it was really fun. We played 2 truths and lie, never have I ever, and Mafia. Then we had FHE and for that we played Among Us and that was actually pretty good. Jorge came and had a blast!

Tuesday: We tried to make crockpot macaroni and cheese and it turned out pretty good, but not the best. Then I had a really cool lesson with some members the Stalkers. She is struggling with health but wants to participate so we gave her the zoom link and then we found out she wants the sacrament brought to her, so that was kind of cool!

Wednesday: Pretty regular day. Just had some studies and then we also had institute and that was so good! Jorge came and loved it, and talked to a lot of people. We talked about the way that the Lord works in our lives and it was awesome!

Thursday: Had a super cool member lesson with the Cabral family, they are super cool! We also did some fun service for our ward mission leader so that was good! We called someone named Kyle who is super cool, he said he's interested. Unfortunately he lives in another area and isn't YSA so we sent the referral over, but it's still pretty cool. 

Friday: District council was really good. We talked about finding people and also the Book of Mormon. Which reminded me of Elder Rasband's talk about the Book of Mormon and the power that the Book of Mormon has!! Then we had a cool lesson with Jorge and we talked about his baptism this week and it is so exciting!! Then Brother Morrow took us to dinner and we had a mini member lesson with him that was super cool!

Saturday: Had an awesome lesson with Dwight! We talked about the Plan of Salvation and he understood most of it, and we have another lesson set up this week so that's good!! Also Brother Brown gave us some really good sandwiches from Oktoberfest!! 

Sunday: Really good Sunday. We were busy with meetings so that was cool. We also had lessons with the O'keefe's, dinner with the Murphy's, and a nice lesson with the Beazers! So really busy day, but it was really fun!

General Conference

 Monday: Great preparation day, we went on a hike for our district activity and it was super pretty!! Then we went shopping and then had a fun FHE activity where we had a Chopped competition and me and Elder Cosentino were the Judges!! 

Tuesday: Went on an exchange with the zone leaders and it was really fun and I was able to learn a lot from them! 

Wednesday: Fun day, we got to go to Institute and we talked about the amazing atonement of Jesus Christ and brother west was awesome and allowed everyone to ponder a lot and reflected a lot on how that has affected us in our lives so it was awesome!!

Thursday: Felt like an eternity, but it was a fun day because we had Zone Conference!! It was so fun to see a lot of missionaries in one spot!! We talked about being accountable to ourselves, our companions, our mission leaders, and our friends.

Friday: We had a cool member lesson,and also taught Thomas a little bit more. He had some tough questions that were a little hard to answer so that made me feel a little inadequate, but its all good! Then we had a fun member dinner and the family was so cool, and it was way fun to get to know them and talk with them!

Saturday: Watched the morning session of conference for personal and comp study, then we went and watched the afternoon session with Jorge and he loved the conference and learned so much and also is so excited to get baptized. Then we went and worked on Jorges baptismal program!!

Sunday: We got to watch the morning session with our district and that was super fun!! Then we went and had lunch with our ward mission leader and watched conference with them. It was super fun and I took really good notes and I am looking forward to looking back on them!
